Friday, May 5, 2006, 09:22 PMI added a blog function (similar to this one) to www.thesophisticates.net. I customized the logo, menu and color scheme to match the existing style.
My gig at Johnny Fins with Undiskovered was rained out (even though it hasn't actually started raining yet and the show would just about be over by now!).
Also, I just saw on the news that the guest dock at Johnny Fins was hit by a houseboat. This was proablay a result of the massive storm last night.
Thursday, May 4, 2006, 06:43 PMI edited and added the photos of Carole Sikes' paintings to the Art Gallery section of www.sikesart.com.
Here's a link to the gallery for that exhibit:

Thursday, May 4, 2006, 11:55 AMI delivered the recordings I made of Del Castillo to Carl Thiel at his studio. There were about 40GB of files and it took about 30 minutes to transfer from my Firewire 800 external drive onto one of his drives. All the files were imported into ProTools and Carl will mix them using that setup.

I'm working on a new design for Tastemaker Events.
Wednesday, May 3, 2006, 10:34 AMI just added this blog function to the web site, so whoever is interested can track my exploits.
I just finished a couple of live recording captures for Del Castillo. One was done in McAllen, TX last Wednesday as part of a Hermes Music documentary. A video crew taped interviews in the afternoon and the performance later that night.
The other recording was done here in Austin at the Glenn at the Backyard. Grupo Fantasma was the opening act. Later, Robert Rodriguez and the beautiful Natalie showed up to jam with Del Castillo as "Chingon". Carl Thiel and I videotaped the show from several angles. As usual, I took lots of photos. Here are links to the photo galleries for those events:

Carl Thiel will do the final mixes of these recordings.
